According to the news report on TV Patrol on TFC Channel last Tuesday, Rick and his wife got into a dispute and ended up separated over the money, which was all they had in their savings.
Mabaquiao also had previous complaints filed about her for taking placement fee under deception as a licensed recruiter. Mabaquiao is also accused of taking 80,000 pesos ($1600) for placement fee to work in a hotel and restaurant in Palau, but didn't deliver the employment overseas as she promised.
Mabaquiao ia a former overseas Filipino worker and previously worked at recruitment agency. She claims that the job she was recruiting for are legitimate work in hotel, housekeeping and restaurants in Palau with salary of $3.50 per hour, but were delayed for some reasons.
But according to police investigators, it is still illegal because she doesn't have permit to recruit and run an office to communicate to the applicants.
