An Airplane graveyard littered with pieces of wrecked WWII planes can be found on the northeast side of Angaur. If you look hard enough through the dense vegetation, a relatively intact F4U Corsair and pieces from several B-24s as well as C-47 can be spotted. After a visit, you may agree that the towering ironwood trees with their elaborate root systems is as interesting as the planes and even easier to recognize.

Located on the northern end of the island of Peleliu, the temporarymuseum houses a collection of WWII memorabilia. Peleliu Island , some 30 miles south to koror, can only be reached by boat or air. This Island was the site of what has been labeled in modern times as "the bolldiest battle to take place in the Pacific" during WWII.
